Last Minute Memorial Day Ideas for Budget Travelers
According to the Wall Street Journal, AAA projects auto travel through Memorial Day weekend to rise 5.8% from a year ago. This is the highest level since 2007, with 32.1 million Americans expected to be on the road. Additionally, gas prices are expected to fall by the weekend, further encouraging Americans to hit the road.

As much as we enjoyed our time on the slopes, one of the highlights of the trip was a stop on the way home. Cut to the Grafton Village Cheese Company. This cute little shop in Brattleboro boasts all the wares that Vermont is famous for (minus the tombstones).
Deep River Sporting Clays – Having a Blast Outside Raleigh-Durham
Deep River Sporting Clays is located 45 miles southwest of the North Hills area of Raleigh. The cool thing about their complex is how vast it is. They are set up with a one mile, 13-station course, and each station has clays flying from different angles, at different speeds and even scurrying across the ground.

Like many this year, my college girlfriends and I didn’t want to travel (too) far for our semi-annual reunion. With all of us scattered between Boston and DC, we chose Clinton, Connecticut, a sleepy beach town just outside New Haven, as our weekend headquarters.
