Who says all vacations have to be luxurious? As schools across the U.S. prepare to let their students out on Spring Break, I’m thinking back to one of my favorite spring break experiences: Outward Bound.

When a couple girlfriends and I traveled to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, we craved enchiladas, guacamole and tacos made from fish that was swimming hours earlier. Believe me, we weren’t disappointed. Then we discovered one of the city’s best kept secrets: The Paris Café.
Montpelier Plantation, a Delicious Destination on Nevis
Nevis, West Indies has to be one of my favorite islands in the Caribbean. Not only beautiful, with silky soft beaches and tropical rainforests, it has a secluded feel that you don’t get from its sister island, St. Kitts. From high end (Four Seasons) to dives (Sunshine’s), there is a nice diversity for visitors. Following a recommendation from a college friend, Boyfriend and I enjoyed one of our favorite meals on the island at Montpelier Plantation.

While the air might be getting crisp here in the Northeast, it’s still warm and sunny at the Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Beach, Florida.

Like many this year, my college girlfriends and I didn’t want to travel (too) far for our semi-annual reunion. With all of us scattered between Boston and DC, we chose Clinton, Connecticut, a sleepy beach town just outside New Haven, as our weekend headquarters.

But Bull sharks do.
And they will eat your children…
Is this the message that the Discovery Channel is sending during this year’s Shark Week? Maybe not exactly, but they’ve scheduled some interesting programming. Keep in mind that I really love Shark Week. I love learning things like how different size fins are suited for sharks that [...]
